"We made the impossible, possible"

Sunderland manager Dick Advocaat: "The way we played, free of thinking about going down, was really good in some parts. We gave cheap goals but they deserved it.
"I will give that answer on my future next week. The players have responded excellently, with their commitment to the club, to get 12 points makes me very proud of them.
"My assistant said to me we made the impossible, possible. I have a big decision to make this week."

Allardyce to leave West Ham
Aaron Turnbull: Brendan Rodgers to West Ham.
Mark Utv-Phillips: Perhaps he'll take Newcastle job. That's if managerial genius Carver don't want it.
Paul Johnson: Bring back Harry!
The managerial merry-go-round has begun...

'We need to challenge for the title'

Arsenal 4-1 West Brom
Arsenal
Arsenal hat-trick hero Theo Walcott: "You need to be ready when giving the opportunity. I've been out for a year, but I feel great. I've got to thank the manager for having faith in me.

"I think it's been an up and down campaign. We've had a great run. It came to an end a few weeks ago. We've finished third, and if we win the FA Cup next week, that's a good season.
"But I think that next season, we need to be challenging for the title, with the team we've got."

"We are a complete team"

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho: "I think we have everything. Can anybody say we don't play fantastic football? No. Well, they can, but it's not true. We have art in our game but we also have fantastic spirit, organisation and pragmatism. We are a complete team and that is why we are champions.
"It was a bit of a risk to come here for a second time but with a new team a new generation we are champions again, and as a Chelsea supporter I feel it a double way,"

John Terry and Didier Drogba

A lot of love between Chelsea captain John Terry and the departing Didier Drogba as they speak to Match of the Day.
Terry; "It has been five years since we won the title. It has been a long time and hurts when you see other teams lift it.
"It is an unbelievable day - the whole squad have been top class from day one - but a sad one with Didier leaving today."
Drogba: "I knew they were going to do something to mark my last game. I love John. I have played with him for many years, I know him and his family and he is not the guy that people think that he is. He is a nice guy. "

Allardyce to leave West Ham
Greg Howarth: How much has Allardyce done for them? The thanks he gets is a knife in the back... some teams in this league are shocking.
Sean Freel: Why does big Sam get the bullet anytime he has a decent season. He will get a big club soon.
David Clark: Typical, one of the best and most reliable managers in the Premier League and he gets the chop. Good luck Sam, I hope you get a much better deal with an honest club.

Thanks for coming

Man Utd
Manchester United have decided not to keep Radamel Falcaofollowing the end of his season-long loan from Monaco.
Falcao is due to speak to manager Louis van Gaal on Monday.

But it has already been decided to release the 29-year-old after he scored just four goals in 29 appearances.
The Colombian missed today's 0-0 draw with Hull due to injury, after which manager Louis van Gaal said: "We still have a day. I have to say something to him."
Chelsea 3-1 Sunderland
Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown
Final Score
"Chelsea were strong at the beginning of the season and I thought the Arsenal record of the Invincibles was in trouble - they were that strong.
"It is whether they can hold on to the title and what changes they will bring in. That is the true mark of champions - that they'll already be looking towards the future.
"Chelsea are a long way off reaching the semi-finals in Champions League and competing with Barcelona and Bayern Munich but Jose Mourinho knows how to win."

'No fears'

Fan view
Hull City
Hull City fan and blogger Rick Skelton, 35: "If there is a right way to go down, I think Hull City have shown it today. One of the many disappointments is that the incredible spirit, fight and urgency of today has been missing recently.

"Relegation holds no fears. It's frustratingly needless but unlike last time (2010) we have financial protection, saleable assets and a strong core. We also have a manager who specialises in promotion so I'd keep him despite his flaws.
"My biggest concern is that the owners are somehow able to achieve their hideous, divisive change of name out of the spotlight. Relegation is part and parcel. That would kill my love for my club."

Allardyce to leave West Ham
James, Wokingham: West Ham getting rid of Big Sam will be a classic example of not realising what you had until you lose it. Embarrassing decision.
Toby: West Ham looking to bigger things. Great academy, money available and new stadium around the corner. Only one manager good enough for this 'project', Jurgen Klopp is on the way to the Prem, get ready.

The West Ham way

West Ham
BBC Sport understands that West Ham's search for a new manager to replace Big Sam will see them after a boss who 'has a desire to play 'The West Ham way'.
Whatever that means...

Manager reaction

Chelsea 3-1 Sunderland
Chelsea
Chelsea manger Jose Mourinho: "I know that our rivals are not going to accept this title and they are going to fight and there are three or four teams that will be aiming for us and we have to be better - me, the players and our squad.
"Maybe they need some fresh blood to keep them under pressure. They know me they know that they are not going to keep their positions on the basis of this year."

Moyes for the Magpies?

Newcastle 2-0 West Ham - NEWCASTLE STAYING UP
Former Tottenham striker Garth Crooks
Final Score
"If you asked me to put money on John Carver being Newcastle's manager next season I would say no. I think Mike Ashley is an astute enough man to realise he has had his wake-up call, and Carver staying would not say the club is going in the right direction.
David Moyes
EPA
Coming back to the Prem?
"I think David Moyes would be a good fit. Moyes is quite happy with Real Sociedad in Spain but is very keen to prove himself back in England."
That's two clubs Moyes has been linked with in the last hour.

Milner on the move?

Man City 2-0 Southampton
Man City
Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini: "James Milner will make a decision at the end of the season, he must decide his future and what is best for him."
Garth has cracked it. If you don't score, you go down.
Any Hull players likely to be snapped up by their Premier League rivals?

League One latest

Preston 2-0 Swindon
Preston are in total control. But they've got a terrible record in the play-offs, and Swindon scored five past Sheffield United the other week.
Nothing is over yet!
